Course objectives
This course has been designed to impart the necessary knowledge and skill required by designated persons who would have the responsibility to select, mount, dismount, maintain and inspect non-precision cutting and grinding discs and wheels, to petrol and electric hand held cutting and grinding machines ie 14" chop saw, 12" petrol driven saws, 9", 5", 4½", 4" angle grinders.
Employers whose employees use non-precision hand held grinding and cutting machines must provide suitable and sufficient training to enable them to carry out the above tasks, and to have these persons recorded in the required register of training in accordance with The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
Our clients must provide the equipment to allow the practical mounting exercises to be completed.
