MEWP In-house Operators Certificate
Course objectives
This is a generic course which covers all types of MEWP machines and is designed to train operators in the safe working practices and general operating procedures, the emergency procedures, service & maintenance checks, hazards & risks during use. Videos on Safe Use of Booms & Scissors are shown to reinforce the key learning points from the course syllabus.
Operators are assessed carrying out practical exercises on the machine including operation of the emergency procedures. Theory understanding is tested via a Post-course questionnaire.
Note: If a scissor is used for practical assessment then only a scissor certificate can be issued.
Our clients will be required to provide the boom machine, suitable working area and safety harnesses for operators whilst in the platform or basket of the machine.
