Ladder, step and roof access safety
Course objectives
This course has been specifically designed for clients who employ premises officers, caretakers or maintenance personnel who need to use this type of equipment, and to access open flat roof areas for light duty maintenance works.
Interactive video programmes are used to highlight the hazards & risks people may be exposed to when working on ladders & steps or on open roof areas. Group syndicate work is undertaken to give delegates the opportunity to carry out some risk assessments & to put together a simple safe working method statement to cover these access applications.
Delegates are taught the safe erection procedure for ladders & steps and the methods available to ensure stability of this high-risk work equipment.
